No Guilt Twix Protein Bars

My Favorite Home Made Twix Protein Bar 

Recipe below👇🏼

For the crust:

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin coconut oil
  • 60g Scitec Nutrition protein powder (Natural Vanilla or your fave flavor)
  • ÂĽ cup almond flour
  • ½ cup oat flour (can swap for coconut flour for lower carbs)
  • 2 tbsp sugar-free maple syrup or fiber syrup
  • pinch of sea salt (to taste)

For the caramel:

  • 1 cup pitted Medjool dates (naturally sweet, no junk)
  • 1 tbsp organic almond butter (pure, no sugar)
  • 2 tbsp water

For the coating:

  • ½ tsp extra virgin coconut oil
  • 100g sugar-free dark chocolate chips

How to make:

  1. Mix all crust ingredients and press firmly into a 9Ă—9 silicone baking dish. Pop it in the freezer while you whip up the caramel.
  2. Blend the dates, almond butter, and water in a food processor until smooth and creamy. Spread this caramel over your crust and freeze for 20 minutes to set.
  3. Cut into 12 bars. Melt dark chocolate with coconut oil and dip each bar, then chill in the fridge until chocolate sets.

Nutrition per bar:

~100 kcal, 6g protein, low sugar, and a whole lotta yum. Perfect for when you want to treat yourself without the guilt.
